Municipa Port Fund
With Presidential Decree 9/2015 (Government Gazette 7 A / 15-1-2015), responsibilities of the Port Fund of the Prefecture of Laconia were transferred to the Municipality of East Mani, Prefecture of Laconia and a Public Entity was established under the name “Municipal Port Fund of East Mani.
Its area of responsibility is the Land Zone of the Port of Gythio, which extends from the entrance to the Island of Kranai to the opposite of the General High School of Gythio and the Port of Gythio.
MUNICIPALITY OF EASTERN MANI
The capital of the new Municipality is the city of Gythio in which the port is located, the historic capital is Areopolis. The area stars in all historical periods with finds up to 210,000 years old.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of the Municipal Port Fund is the organization and operation of ports.
